Just a lil’ roundup of my around town looks this week…
It was a scorcher down here in good ol’ Tourist Town, South Carolina. I’m not going to lie, most of my time was spent with my hair in a messy bun, running from air conditioned oasis to oasis. The select moments when I finally attempted to resemble a fashionista again had to be similarly cool and humidity-friendly (eye rolling at myself but really! Great for wrinkles, horrible for curls🙁).
Wore this simple but glam for day look to do some errands. Check my previous post for details!
Finally got around to getting some of my favorite heels repaired this week. Strange things happen to cute shoes when there’s a keg at a baby shower in the woods. I scoured my local Yelp, Angie’s List, you name it and found my internet researching skills coming up dry! To be fair, Myrtle Beach’s online marketing game is hella week. Anyway, I decided one of the two places I could find, neither of which had any helpful reviews. Turns out it’s located inside the western boot shop I’ve driven by a thousand times! I pick my babies back up next week, when they’ll hopefully be good as new.
And if not I’ll just borrow this mini-wagon and head west…
Sunglasses: Poshmark, similar here
Necklace: Torrid, similar right here, less than $15!
Top: Burke’s Outlet – This was purchased a while ago so I won’t link, but you should really check Burke’s out if you haven’t! I was a winner of their Instagram The Secret is Outlet competition and always find something in their plus size and home decor sections.
Camisole: Lane Bryant, total essential!
Shoes (pictured below): Tommy Hilfiger
Isn’t Conway gorgeous? This is one of my favorite spots, the Waccamaw river walk. I’ll definitely feature some other local hot spots in a later post (if y’all promise not to tell too many folks).
As I mentioned on my IG post this day, it was just one of those lousy ones where nothing looked good. Well let me tell you, rompers are the summertime version of leggings. This denim one was probably my most worn item of the summmer. I highly recommend nabbing one while end-of summer sales are on.
Crop top – Arizona Jeans
Flip Flops – Rainbows
Also had to show off my loot from Torrid’s BOGO sale… I’m simply obsessed with this casual baseball version of the LBD. I was worried then fabric might be a little too heavy initially, but it has that perfect weight that gives a little swing when you walk. And the way the sleeves hit right at the slimmest part of my waistline is so flattering.
I finally thrifted myself a couples lariats and I think I may have to keep both. I’m sure if I real cowgirl saw me wearing one like this she’d have a good laugh!
Dress – Torrid, of course! I think this one’s sold out on line but here’s a really similar style
Bolo Tie – Thrifted from my super secret spot but here are a bunch of cuties
Shoes – same as above
And just like that, it was Sunday again. We hadn’t made it to our lovely church in what seemed like forever and it was so great to be back. AND I got so many compliments on this beachy Crown & Ivy frock!
Dress – Crown & Ivy still available in Medium only at Belk
Necklace and Earrings – Versona
Shoes – Available in my Poshmark closet!
