Few things excite me more than a crumbling decrepit building of living history that I’m aloud to wander around in and touch things! Make it a jail (anyone else obsessed with prison shows? Just me? Okay….) and the dark tourist inside is doing a creepy little dance. I found it hard to contain my enthusiasm as we pulled up to what looked oddly like a medieval castle in the middle of downtown Philadelphia. Although the day was very warm (keeping it REAL with the sweaty… I mean SPARKLING photos) we had the best time exploring the ground that housed Al Capone and countless other souls.
I took way too many photos, but I hope you’ll enjoy looking through.
As you can tell, the exterior went from pretty and gram-able to creepy real quick!
The Steve Buscemi-narrated audio tour really set the mood.

I was so into this closed off cell block. $10,000 to spend the night?
Ghost Adventures vibes
lol @ my face
The greenhouse was one of the few places on campus that was full of light. I loved the art installation that was set up while I was there.
Yikes!
On the way out…
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them. What spooky spot should we visit next?
