Vermont Living

It’s incredible to think that we’ve been in Vermont through two whole seasons already! Personally, I’m anxiously awaiting beautiful autumn while soaking in every bit of the outdoors this summer. Where I come from, summers are too often inside, up under the all-important central AC unless there’s a pool or natural body of water near by because its too hot to be out there without getting wet! This first summer in Vermont has been record-breaking hot (of course) but the cool nights are perfect for smores and cider around a fire.

Instagram will always be a better place to keep up with me, but I wanted to share some favorite posts here, all from my first few months in the North Country!

MeredithGypsyGlam began way back when Rob and I were living life on the road as very poorly paid children’s theatre actors, constantly traveling with everything we owned (like gypsies ✨) and soaking up as much art & natural beauty as we could along the way. I’ve always had this obsessive thing with taking tons of photos – in college I was the crazy girl snapping away at parties with my digital camera and ruthlessly uploading the incriminating evidence to Facebook promptly the next morning and tagging away. I wanted to hold on to and relive the fun of the night before! It became the same way with our travel a few years later. We’d be in some po-dunk town in the Midwest and I’d get super glammed ✨ up in the hotel room on a Friday night after a full week of shows in which I played a pirate with a doorknob for a hand. I NEEDED to feel a little glam after that, okay? We’d explore, find a cool field or mural and *click* 6 years later, here we are. In January of this year, we started kicking around the idea of moving back to Rob’s home state of Vermont from South Carolina. At the end of February (with a LOT of help), we did it. So yes, MeredithGypsyGlam is about pretty clothes and pretty places. But it’s also my ambition to inspire each of you to honor the strength and beauty you possess by going for whatever it is in this world you believe will make you happy and to be fearless in the persistent pursuit of the life you desire. 🌻
